Review of Optometric Business recently presented an online event sponsored by MyEyeDr. that explored the most common misconceptions about private equity (PE). This virtual educational event provided an explanation of PE and how it works, PE’s interest in acquiring optometric practices, the documentation a PE company requires and an overview of how PE deals are structured.
The online event featured presentations by Ken Krivacic, OD, MBA, of Las Colina Vision Center, and Richard Edlow, OD, the “Eyeconomist” and doctor with Catonsville Eye Group.

• Computing and Maximizing Practice Value
• Structures of Acquisition Deals
Following the general session, small group breakouts were held providing the opportunity to meet with key representatives from MyEyeDr. This event provided an opportunity to learn more about MyEyeDr. and its approach to partnering with doctors.
