About 150 Vision Source doctors and staff members from Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., attended the inaugural Vision Source Experience program for 2012.
Walt West, OD, Vision Source Vice President for Practice Development, presented the three-hour Maximize Your Practice program – just as he will for 31 more scheduled meetings throughout the country for the remainder of the year. Dr. West focused on four key areas of practice development: a strategy for presenting products and services in a way that patients perceive them as more affordable; calculating your market index for certain medical services for ongoing eye-related health conditions; developing an objective measure to calculate the value of the practice’s recall initiatives; and branding and marketing a practice.
Attendees of the meeting were asked to create a priority action list, and they will be sent a follow-up survey in one month to determine how the implementation of new ideas is progressing.
