Independent optometrists are always looking for an edge. The VSP Global Premier Program® has provided my practice with that edge for years. With new enhancements to the program for private practices, participating will be even more beneficial to my patients and practice.

Additions to the program include more education and training for doctors and their staff, along with business-building marketing solutions, greater savings, and even more special offers.

Let Patients Know You Accept VSP Insurance–and Offer High Value
Being a participant in the Premier Program allows more patients to find me. They can see I am a Premier Program location where members can maximize their benefits, and a practice that accepts VSP Vision Care insurance where they receive affordable care and eyewear in our office.

When patients visit our practice web site from the Find A Doctor Directory, they see the huge selection of frame brands we offer, many of which are covered by their insurance. Our optical shop features Marchon® and Altair® frames. It’s my goal to ensure the greatest eyewear options for a wide variety of patients. VSP is a great partner in that regard since Vision Care benefits make it easy for my patients to get the corrective lenses I have prescribed, with frames they’ll love to wear.

Provide Patients with an Educated, Well-Prepared Staff
Over the years, the Premier Program has helped me tremendously as a partner. Now, that help is expanding thanks to the new enhancements to the program. I’m particularly looking forward to delving deeper into Premier Academy360TM, which will feature learning experiences designed to help my staff and I provide great care for patients.

The upcoming educational sessions provided by Premier Academy360 will help us differentiate our patient experience and ensure that patients leave our office wanting to recommend us to their friends and family.

VSP representatives also visit my practice to participate in a staff meeting. They work with us on a variety of topics, from understanding how to reach out effectively to patients, how patients can maximize their benefits with us, and improving the capture rate in our optical.

Harnessing the Power of Big Data as a Small Provider
As a small private practice, I don’t have the data-collection resources that large companies and online retailers do. Fortunately, as a member of the Premier Program, I have access to data about the demographics of my community – helping me to tailor my services and marketing outreach.

In addition to greater knowledge about my patients and community, VSP gives Premier Program private practices regular reports about which lenses and frames are selling best. This helps me to identify another way the practice can become more profitable. For example, the report might show I can provide better care by prescribing a different lens, such as a new progressive, that is better for both my patients and practice profitability.

Mapping a Brighter Future with Excellent Patient Care–and Greater Revenue
The Premier Program has been an incredible tool in helping me grow my practice and ensure patients have a great experience in our office. Now, with the latest enhancements to the program, I feel more comfortable than ever that I will continue growing my practice into the future. We will surpass patient needs by exceeding expectations and assuring practice longevity and maximized revenue.
