OD Excellence (ODX) and PFO Global have added speakers to the roster of their program at the group’s upcoming 5th annual International Vision Conference, scheduled for Aug. 27 to 29, in San Diego, Calif.
On the program will be John McGreal, OD, director of professional education with ODX and founding partner of Vision Care Consultants, who will discuss the basics of the new ICD-10 codes. Dr. McGreal is also on the faculty at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the University of Missouri. Also on the program will be James Rynerson, MD, who practiced ophthalmology for 17 years before developing BlephEx, now available internationally for the care of blepharitis, MGD and dry eye treatment. Dr. Rynerson will discuss a new therapy in the management of blepharitis and dry eye disease.
Additional industry leading experts providing doctor education include: Jim Grue, OD, director of health policy integration for OD Excellence; John Lahr, OD, vice president/medical director for EyeMed Vision Care and consultant/medical advisory board for several corporations; Jon Weeding, founder and president of CS Eye, delivering enhanced compliance and increased profitability; Kimberly Reed, OD, director of Nutrition and Eye Care Service, Nova Southeastern University; Richard Castillo, OD, assistant dean and professor at Northeastern State University; Bob Schultz, Vision One Credit Union, president and CEO, and Nathan Lighthizer, chief of specialty care clinics and the chief of electrodiagnostics clinic at Oklahoma College of Optometry.
