Signet Armorlite Introduces KODAK Unique DS Progressive Lenses

Signet Armorlite has introduced KODAK Unique DS Progressive Lenses. Available for order immediately, KODAK Unique DS Progressive Lenses incorporate the features and benefits of the original KODAK Unique Progressive Lens into a dual-side lens design.

The KODAK Unique DS Lens is a technology-driven evolution of the KODAK Unique Lens design. For years, Signet Armorlite has been exploring the advancement of the KODAK Progressive Lens and has accomplished this goal by integrating dual multifocal technology. The result is the KODAK Unique DS Lens, a fully digital dual-side progressive lens that offers significant improvement in the reading area for many prescriptions, while providing enhanced visual performance in the intermediate and distance viewing areas.

The KODAK Unique DS Lens also introduced the next generation of Vision First Design Technology – Vision First DS Technology. This technology uses reverse optical engineering to leverage both sides of the lens. Vision First DS Technology is designed to offer ultra-smooth lens power and minimal “swim effect,” which results in faster patient adaptation and improved patient satisfaction.

“At Signet, we have been developing this advancement in our lens technology for some time and are proud to have the opportunity to launch the KODAK Unique DS Lens in the United States and Canada,” says Brad Staley, president of Signet Armorlite, Inc. “We continue to look for ways to bring new technology and innovation to market. This launch allows us both to meet the recent requirements concerning the KODAK Unique Lens and to replace it with a much improved product.”

The KODAK Unique DS Lens starts at a 13mm minimum fitting height. Available with six corridor lengths (13mm to 18mm), KODAK Unique DS Lenses also allow the option for prescribed prism. KODAK Unique DS Lenses are available in the following lens materials: 1.50, 1.60, 1.67, Polycarbonate, Trivex, Transitions lens 1.50, 1.67, Polycarbonate and Polarized 1.50. Photochromic and polarized options are available in gray and brown.
