Primary Eyecare Network Announces Webinar: “The Road to Optometric Internet Marketing”

Primary Eyecare Network (PEN), the practice development division of ABB CONCISE, has launched a webinar series, “The Road to Optometric Internet Marketing,” as a lead-up to its annual conference, PIO 2012 (Preserving Independent Optometry) in August.

One of PEN’s strategic initiatives is the provision of advanced education for its members. “As a team, we wanted to expand our educational offerings regarding the use of the internet as a marketing tool,” reports Debbie Oseguera, director of operations for PEN. “We have had many requests for this type of information, so we designed the webinar series to dovetail and complement our PIO program this year.” Since this webinar series is designed to be beneficial to all eyecare practitioners, registration will be open to both PEN members and anyone else interested in attending.

The webinar series consists of five monthly webinars that will bring an array of speakers from both inside and outside the industry. These speakers will address common questions confronting optometric practices today. Michael Porat, COO of EyeCarePro, the educational underwriter of the webinar series says, “Working closely with so many practices on all things related to the internet provides us with a unique insight into both the practices themselves and the latest technologies available. Our partnership with PEN and ABB CONCISE is an ideal fit. Our strengths complement each other enabling us to educate the marketplace on this very important topic.”

There is no cost to attend the webinars due to EyeCarePro’s sponsorship of the program. In addition, all participants will be provided vouchers for a variety of products. “Our concept is to give away $1 million in product vouchers by the end of the series,” confirms Daniel Rostenne, CEO of EyeCarePro. “We have great relationships and partnerships with our voucher sponsors and we are bringing everyone together to educate and facilitate every practice’s entrance into internet marketing.”

The webinar series ends in August and will be complemented by the educational offerings at this year’s PEN PIO 2012 conference in Monterey, Calif. “The webinar series will only enhance what our participants are able to derive from our programming at this year’s PIO,” says Ms. Oseguera.
