Patient Care Opportunity: Tell Patients About Solutions to Dry Eye
Your patients may not be telling you the symptoms of dry eye they experience. In fact, they might not even know what they’re experiencing is dry eye. The symptoms of dry eye, including eyes that burn, sting and feel gritty, and include episodes of blurred vision, cause a range of emotion, according to The National Eye C.A.R.E. Survey conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of Shire.
Fifty-seven percent of respondents to the survey say these symptoms make them feel annoyed, while 46 percent say they feel tired as a result of the symptoms. Forty-two percent feel frustrated, and 54 percent say the symptoms may them feel older than they are.
