New Practitioner-to-Practitioner Telemedicine Platform is Live

July 22, 2020

Telasight, a new telemedicine platform that provides real time practitioner-to-practitioner consultations, is now live. The technology is designed to help optometrists treat and manage more medical eye disease by providing users with instant second opinions while the patient is in their office. ODs can sign up now and get a consultation right away.

Telasight is intended to help ODs reduce unnecessary referrals, build stronger doctor-patient relationships and increase their own revenue from medical insurance billing with Telasight. Patients also benefit from the service by not having to travel far distances or pay additional co-pays to get a specialist’s second opinion.

Telasight has established a consultant network with leading experts in the field including Drs. Kyle Cheatham, Greg Caldwell, Paul Karpecki, Richard Mangan, Lee Peplinski and Joseph Sowka.

The technology facilitates communication between providers and allows clinical data and images such as visual fields and OCTs to be easily shared. It is available on multiple platforms including Android, iOS and web-based browsers. The platform is 100 percent HIPAA-compliant and each consultant has their own malpractice insurance, meaning Telasight says it stands behind the information it provides.

Unlimited consultations are available with a monthly subscription service at www.telasight.com.
