New Myopia Management Resource: Online Publication + Events

Oct. 23, 2019

Review of Myopia Management and Treehouse Eyes have announced the combination of THE Myopia Meeting, produced by Treehouse Eyes, with the Review of Myopia Management (RMM), published by Jobson Health Information.

The combined operation, which will be owned and managed by Jobson, will enable RMM to offer a unified communications and education solution to the growing myopia management market.

Treehouse Eyes introduced THE Myopia Meeting in Washington, DC, in February 2019, with great success, generating over 600 credit hours of CE on cutting-edge myopia topics, and over a dozen sponsoring companies supporting the educational effort. Due to pent-up demand, Treehouse Eyes added another meeting in Southern California on October 6 with similar sold-out success.

With the combination of THE Myopia Meeting and RMM, Jobson announced that a third meeting will be held on Dec. 8, 2019 in Burlingame, California outside of San Francisco. Register now: www.reviewofmm.com/myopia

Review of Myopia Management, a digital-only communications platform at www.ReviewofMM.com, was introduced in April, 2019, with the express mission of being the leading source of clinical, practice management, market and research information on myopia for eyecare professionals. Brand traction in the market was nearly instantaneous with RMM generating 95,000 page views by 34,000 unique visitors to date.

“Myopia Management is a mega-trend on the verge of breakthrough,” says Al Greco, publisher of Review of Myopia Management. “Scientific research proves the wisdom in trying to manage myopia early, and therefore, reduce pathologies linked to higher myopia in later life. ECP education is key to moving this market forward. The unified educational offerings by RMM and The Myopia Meeting will accelerate the incorporation of myopia management products and procedures into practice.”

Treehouse Eyes Co-Founding Partner Gary Gerber, OD, concurs: “Part of Treehouse Eyes’ ongoing commitment is to continue to be the brand standard for exemplary myopia care in ODs’ offices.

After announcing our recent expansion of 10 additional myopia management centers, and after our experience holding THE Myopia Meetings, as well as educating doctors within our centers, it became clear that we needed someone with RMM’s experience and reach to get more doctors properly educated. We’re excited that as a result of this unique partnership more doctors will receive excellent education leading to more kids getting the important treatments they need.

Treehouse Eyes will continue to be involved in future events, and we look forward to being able to continually offer great education to sold-out venues,” he said.
