Over Half of Patients Use Insurance for Both Eyecare and Eyewear
Some 67 percent of 4,230 respondentswho participated inJobson Research’s 2010 Eyewear & Eye Care Patterns Insight Survey said they used insurance for both their eye exam and eyewear purchase. Nineteen percent said they only used their insurance for the exam; 6 percent used insurance just for eyeglasses and sunglasses purchases; another 6 percent did not use their vision insurance for anything; and 3 percent did not know whether or not they used it.
