Some 28.9 percent of consumers at optical shops operated by independent ECPs choose lenses with A/R coating, according to The Vision Council’s VisionWatch March 2012 Member Benefit Report. Some 15.7 percent chose photochromatic lenses.

Readers Say Their Offices Are Equipped with the Most Advanced Instrumentation
Asked how well-equipped their offices are in instrumentation, 63 percent of ROB readers said their offices have “the newest and most advanced instrumentation available.” Twenty-five percent said their instrumentation is “not the latest and greatest but we have what we need to serve patients.” Thirteen percent said their office “needs to invest in additional instrumentation to meet practice goals.”
