You want a fun, energetic optical, but you also want peace and quiet in your exam rooms. Here’s how one practice manages the excitement of its optical, so doctor-patient conversations are not disturbed.
PROVIDE SENSE OF SPACE. Think of ways to make your optical, and office, have a greater sense of space.
MINIMIZE NOISE. A challenge of open spaces is the tendency of noise to travel far and wide. If noise is becoming distracting, consider adding acoustical panels to the ceiling that muffle sound.
ADD MUSIC. Upbeat music, played at a moderate level in the optical, can put patients in a shopping frame of mind.
