Has COVID Accelerated Biases in Optometry?

A poll conducted by The Center for Public Integrity last year that found that more than 30 percent of respondents had witnessed or heard a person or people of Asian descent being blamed for the coronavirus. That trend has continued into the current time with recent well-publicized examples of Asian Americans harassed or subjected to violence. The presence of coronavirus has impacted public discourse, with Asians being used as pandemic scapegoats.
