Market Opportunity: Tips to Sell More Prescription Sunwear

You have an opportunity to sell more prescription sunwear, findings from Jobson Optical Research’s 2015 Premium Lens MarketPulse study suggest. Thirty percent of independent ECP respondents said that just 6-10 percent of all prescription eyewear sold in the practice were prescription sunwear. Twenty-five percent reported that 11-15 percent of prescription eyewear sold were prescription sunwear, while twenty-four percent said 5 percent, or less, of all eyewear prescriptions sold were prescription sunwear. Sixteen percent said 16-20 percent of all eyewear prescriptions sold were prescription sunwear, and 5 percent said 20 percent, or more, of all prescription eyewear sold were prescription sunwear.
