Clarus Optical Wins 2013 Transitions Eyecare Practice of the Year

Transitions Optical, Inc., named Clarus Optical the third-annual Transitions Eyecare Practice of the Year–recognizing the staff for its year-long efforts to promote eye health and the Transitions brand within their practice and community. Clarus Optical administrator, Kimberly Manthe, accepted the award on behalf of the practice at an awards ceremony held on Jan. 28, during the 18th annual Transitions Academy in Orlando, Fla..

After attending Transitions Academy as a 2012 awards finalist, Clarus returned back to Lacey, Wash.,  to set three new “Wildly Important Goals” (WIGs, a FranklinCovey term) for the 2013 year. The practice’s first objective was to earn the Transitions Eyecare Practice of the Year title for 2013. The second was to improve the patient experience at Clarus. Lastly, Clarus’ wanted to increase its share of Transitions lenses–and, more specifically, to increase sales of each lens found within the Transitions family of products.

Thanks to a mix of education and training; new marketing initiatives; continued commitment to its community; and a renewed focus on patient satisfaction, Clarus achieved all of its WIGs and experienced significant business growth with Transitions lenses in 2013.

“Clarus Optical developed a winning strategy for the year that kept its entire staff involved and helped the practice meet and even exceed its goals,” says Scott Henning, director, US ECP Sales and Marketing, Transitions Optical. “We are grateful for our partnership with Clarus and appreciate their commitment to making Transitions lenses a focus on a daily basis.”
