CEing is Believing: COPE-Approved Virtual Event Set for July

The organizers of January’s Seeing is Believing virtual conference have announced a second event, CEing is Believing 2013 (CEiB), scheduled for July 17-18, 2013. This second event is designed to complement Seeing is Believing (SiB) which was focused on technology and practice management by offering a clinical focus and 100 percent COPE-approved continuing education courses.

CEing is Believing 2013 is the next generation of conferencing, intended to deliver high-quality content to the desktops of optometrists across North America. The financial and time savings are potentially significant, and accessibility is as easy as an internet connection. “Frankly, we were pleasantly surprised by the extraordinary turn out of top-quality speakers, thought leading exhibitors, and the optometrists and their staffs from 46 states and Canada,” says Alan Glazier, OD, co-founder and speaker at SiB. “We are delighted with the acceptance of this form of learning by everyone in the market, and it has compelled us to come back quickly and offer a program that complements SiB in terms of timing and content.”

CEing is Believing 2013 topics will focus on the latest clinical information needed to keep optometrists up-to-date. Treatment options, equipment, diagnostics and methodologies will all be a part of the conference’s educational itinerary.  “Because of the technology, there is now an opportunity to get the best minds on a particular subject and have that person’s knowledge and experience be accessible by optometrists worldwide,” says Andrew Morgenstern, OD, CEiB Planning Board member and chief medical officer for the conference.  “In addition to our speakers, we have organized an educational committee that is charged with ensuring only the best content presented by the most authoritative experts will be presented at CEiB.” Mark Dunbar, OD, and Diane Schechtman, OD, will be joining the CEiB Planning Board and will be Educational Committee members.

EyeCarePro has once again been chosen as the operations team behind the conference. The company will be responsible for all planning, design and logistics in coordination with the CEiB Planning Board. Michael Porat, COO of EyeCarePro will again be the conference coordinator. “We have already received commitments from high-profile organizations such as Clear Vision Optical and Vision West who we truly valued as partners in the SiB effort,” says Porat. “In addition to the organizations coming back for a second time, we also have new partners who will be a part of CEiB even though they missed the SiB opportunity.”

“Optometrists, exhibitors and speakers should all be looking for significant improvements in the virtual conference experience,” says Daniel Rostenne, CEiB co-founder and CEO of EyeCarePro. “The data available to us from SiB will allow us to move this conference methodology forward significantly. I think that attendees and exhibitors will once again be pleasantly surprised by the experience as we have been working with our developers to really improve the user experience.”
