CareCredit’s Caring Communities Program has provided a $25,000 grant to the InfantSEE program, an initiative of Optometry Cares—The AOA Foundation. The health, wellness and beauty credit card created the Caring Communities Program to help more people access care and support charitable organizations in making a greater impact on the communities they serve. CareCredit has been a supporter of the InfantSEE program for three years.
More than 7,000 InfantSEE optometrists examine an estimated 10,000 infants aged one to six years annually. To date, more than 110,000 babies have been seen since InfantSEE was founded in 2005, and 10 percent have been identified for follow-up. CareCredit’s $25,000 grant will be used to expand awareness of the InfantSEE program among new parents through print advertising, brochures, signage, displays and online efforts.
“We thank CareCredit for their generous support of our efforts to provide eyecare awareness and education for communities that need it most,” says Dennis A. Holter, chief advancement officer, Optometry Cares—The AOA Foundation.
