ABB CONCISE has partnered with CareCredit to offer eyecare professionals another tool to compete against online retailers and increase sales of annual supplies of contact lenses. ABB CONCISE believes the acceptance and active use of CareCredit can increase patient retention and referrals. The CareCredit healthcare credit card program is designed to qualify patients quickly and provides a variety of tools the practice staff can use to explain the payment options and benefits of being able to purchase higher-dollar items.
Angel Alvarez, CEO of ABB CONCISE, explains further, “Consider using CareCredit in your practice to increase annual supply sales of daily disposable contact lenses. Many practitioners say that the single biggest obstacle to annual supply sales is the out-of-pocket costs. If you could combine your current ship-to-patient manufacturer programs with the use of ABB CONCISE’s Retail Price Monitor pricing guidelines, all while offering the low monthly payment options from CareCredit‚ you would remove the patient’s objections to purchasing an annual contact lens supply completely.”
For a limited time, CareCredit is offering a substantially reduced processing fee on the 6 Month Payment Option. From July 1 to Sept. 30, 2012, providers will pay just 2.9 percent. This is a 50 percent savings on standard fees. This rate is at no additional cost when compared to patients using standard credit cards for payment.
There are about 7 million CareCredit cardholders, who can use their credit line with any health care provider who is part of the program. These cardholders receive periodic marketing messages and can find participating providers using the online Provider Locator on the CareCredit web site.
